The Clemons family opened the first dealership in April of 1975 then located on 6th St. in Boone, Iowa.  In 1977 they began construction of the facility where the store now resides on Highway 30 in Boone, Iowa.

In 1983, the Clemons family expanded their operation with the purchase of the Chrysler, Plymouth, and Dodge franchises.  In 1990 the store expanded even more with the purchase of the Pontiac, Oldsmobile & GMC franchises.  Once again in 1993, the Jeep franchise was acquired.

In 1991, the dealership's name was changed from Pat Clemons Chevrolet-Buick to Pat Clemons Inc. because of the variety of franchises.  In 1997 we expanded again; in February adding Clemons Inc. of Fairfield in Fairfield, IA (Toyota, Pontiac, Buick, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep) and in October, adding Clemons Inc. in Marshalltown, IA (Chevrolet, Pontiac & Cadillac).  In 2003 we expanded yet again to include Clemons Inc. of Newton in Newton, IA (Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep).  And most recently (Sept. 2005) Clemons Inc. of Ottumwa, IA (Ford, Lincoln, Mercury).

Along with automobile sales we offer mechanical service, collision repair, automotive parts, and automotive detail cleaning services.  Clemons Inc. markets their automotive services throughout Iowa.  As our customers needs change through the years so will the Clemons Automotive Group -- striving to offer the best of all business aspects.  Clemons Inc. continues to grow and expand while maintaining their reputation for outstanding service and quality.
